Buff for kappy would basically be a fair swap with the retention in regards to salary. Next year his base salary is 6 mil so Toronto would be able to make it work. For this year I said I’d cap doesn’t work, Jets can take Ceci at 50% retained as well.

I dont think the jets do this. If they wanted to trade Buf they could get more than another F (which they dont need) and a pick
Maybe if they get a decent dman back it makes sense

They need forwards lol, we’re so thin up front and no one really sees that. I do agree they could probably get a better offer than this. Maybe NYI would be interested, Wilde and a 3rd for buff at 50%

We are not deep at f lol wtf. We currently have a 4th line of AHLers, yeah we have Perreault out but he slides onto the 3rd line. Still a 4th of AHLers. Okay little comes back. He probably plays 4c, still 2 AHLers on the 4th line. Okay now Appleton is back too. Still an AHLer on the 4th line.

The jets are one major injury away from being weak up front. Like could you imagine if one of our guys from top 6 gets hurt? We would be screwed. Even if one of our bottom 6 guys get hurt, we have no one that can really step in the lineup and play a solid 4th line role.

Our only real good forward prospects are Harkins and Vesa and Harkins is already 22 and hasn’t even gotten close to the NHL lineup. On D we have a number of solid prospects coming up in Stanley, Samberg, Heinola, Chisholm, Lundmark. We need to make additions to our f depth or we have no chance at making some noise this year. The jets have made it clear that the blue line they have can work. They need to solidify their forward group to make this team a contender.

You're focusing too much on the 4th line IMO, Sure it's a bunch of fringe NHLers, but the top 3 line are legit and arguably top 5 in the NHL.
Adding a healthy Little, Matty P and Appleton makes this team deep. Maybe Appleton is an AHLer right now but has shown signs on picking it up before he got hurt.
Also, I want a healthy Buf back in the lineup
