LAK would be absurd to do the second trade, anybody in the top 10 of 2020 will be miles better than Caufield, the first one is interesting though

I wouldn't do either as MTL im confident Caufield can develop chemistry with either KK or Suzuki

Idk, I'm talking overall player, plus how do you know Caufield's shot is gonna translate to the NHL, I've seen a lot of players with shots that can beat junior or NCAA goalies, but not NHL goalies, I'd take a guy that can score 20 goals, put up 40 assists and play a solid two way game over a 30 goal scorer any day

Where has he played in his career where his shot hasn't transitioned? We've never seen a goal scorer like him in a very long time in junior. It's not like he doesn't produce assists, he has 8 in 18 games.

The point was not to propose trades really... but more to know what would make more sense... I could see LAK asking for Caufield in a possible return package for Kopitar, IF Montreal was to ask...

I would love to see the Habs go after Turcotte. But I wouldn't do KK 1 v 1... I think Turcotte, Martinez and a bad contract vs a mix of 1-2 solid prospects, a young-ish roster player and 1 or 2 2nd rounders could be nice for LAK...
