    Thats an overpay for Staal, but a huge underpay for Barrie and slight underpay for Hartnell- whom the Oil wont need with Lucic,Pouliot , Marron and Hendricks already on the left side- all big- but not quick. Ference and Lander dont have much value (Ference is actually a negative due to contract), so a 2nd pick isnt much return- Columbus needs to shed salary-but acquiring Ference negates moving Hartnell.

    so Avs trade Barrie for garbage and then he accepts 2m less than hes asking....this is so bad haha. Delete your account

    tell me what of that holds value to the Avs to move Barrie for.
    Fayne a Dman that passed on Waivers last year and no one picked up
    Reinhart, a Dman that can't crack the Oilers roster
    And Brossoit, a goalie prospect that would just be an AHL back up in the Avs system.

    So 3 parts that would be in the AHL on the Avs. Thats a terrible trade and a terrible signing of his contract since he is asking way more than that if he wanted to sign at 4.5m the Avs wouldnt be trading him for a pile of junk

    I think you meant "Bite me" lol. Seriously tho the trades make no sense for anyone but the Oilers. You gave more for Staal than you did Barrie and then signed him for less than he's reportedly asking for.
