Description
Response to Davidg396. If you would want Ennis and McCabe, you gotta give buffalo more of what they need

Buffalo doesn't really need Subban because of good depth at G with Lehner, Ullmark, and Peterson all good goalies. Depending on how they view Girgensons, buffalo could look to acquire a center. Spooner fits what they need as he can help build 3 scoring lines and give Moulson a player of skill to reignite his career (I hope he can get back to second line with eichel.) buffalo takes on Hayes money after a disappointing season and they also get a young dman who has struggled to get in lineup in Morrow. Boston gets a 40 point winger in Ennis and a rookie defensemen who managed to earn top-4 minutes after he started the season headed towards AHL. Both sides get stung in the deal but both sides also get better IMO

We don't need Ennis or McCabe, that guy has no clue. We aren't trading Spooner for lesser parts. McCabe may have been a # 4, but your d was bad. Ennis is way overpaid because the rest of your roster was awful. If he was a UFA next year he'd get like 3M.

Good trade but Boston would be scrambling for a 2nd line rw if they moved backes to the 3rd c or they could keep backes where he is and move Cullen to 3rd c and put acciari as the 4th c. Makes buffalos forwards look good though. Spooner has a lot of promise but I like Ennis he'd go well with bergeron and marchand

Gotcha. But McCabe maybe was inflated last year but will definitely be a 3/4 dman in this league with #2 upside. He was our second best guy behind Ristolainen for much of the season so I doubt buffalo would even consider moving him anyways. Ennis had a down year last year due to injury but he isn't overpaid. Had 40 point seasons on the worst two teams in history with no talent and he's young. I could see him getting 50 points on a good team.

You can't be saying how bad our roster is much longer... We are on the rise and catching up in the division wink

Without 2 #2s in the draft and a couple of hits (maybe) from the late rounds I dont think the Sabres would be that good. It feels like GMTM has only won the ROR trade, but then overpaid him, and all of his UFA signings have been questionable. If Eichel and Reinhart dont progress, or even worse, take a step back this year, the Sabres may end up in the same exact spot at the end of the season.

The team has been predominately built in the draft and that become even more real in the coming couple years. All of his trades are fine with me as Kulikov I like, ROR win, Kane meh, Lehner jury is still out, Fasching I'm happy with, and miller trade win. His gionta signing is fine, Moulson one he had to do (maybe one less year,) and Okposo is great. The team is all-round a better team IMO this year with a returning healthy Ennis and Lehner. Hopefully Girgensons settles as the 3C and this team has pretty good depth as well
