There are pieces I think SJ would be willing to trade for with MTL, but Price isn't one of them. They can't take on that contract.

I like Tatar, but I don't think Edmonton is in a position to give up a top-10 pick this year. That pick will be producing for Edmonton long after Tatar is retired... it's not like he'll single-handedly make them a contender. They're better off being patient and building for the future.

If we are taking on price, not only are you not getting Meier and two picks back, you should be paying us. I would consider a Price Jones swap with us adding maybe a 3rd though.
