Trades
1.
OTT
  1. Galchenyuk, Alex
  2. 2020 1st round pick (PIT)
  3. 2020 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Pens have been trying to move Chucky for quite some time, in this trade they get some cap relief (1M) and a reliable HEALTHY centre who can score. 1-2-3 punch of Crosby, Malkin, Pageau is quite nice. Ennis provides some stability to the bottom 6 and can play anywhere next to anyone.
PIT
  1. Ennis, Tyler
  2. Pageau, Jean-Gabriel
Additional Details:
I think Chucky is a guy who can do what Duclair has been doing this year. He’ll have 0 pressure, way more icetime and not much expectations which in my opinion is key for him to repeat that 30 goal season. Dorion should sell high on Pageau and keep adding picks. This draft will be a good one. This trade also gives a chance for a young guy to fight for an NHL spot. Creates internal competition which is good for a rebuilding team.
2.
OTT
  1. Dahlström, Carl
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (WPG)
  3. 2021 5th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Sens pile up more assets for this draft, and free up a roster spot for a guy like lajoie or thomson.
WPG
  1. Hainsey, Ron ($1,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
No secret Winnipegs D has been terrible including a league-worst PK. Hainsey can provide some valuable help to their PK and also take some pressure off some of their d-men. Jets dont have to part with that high of a pick and can continue their playoff push.
3.
OTT
  1. 2020 6th round pick (PIT)
  2. 2021 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
More assets.
PIT
  1. DeMelo, Dylan
Additional Details:
Pens add a capable d-man, he can step in if anyone else gets injured.
4.
OTT
  1. 2021 6th round pick (TOR)
Additional Details:
Roster spot for some young guys.
TOR
  1. Sabourin, Scott
Additional Details:
Provides toughness at very little cost.

He’s been pretty nice this season and considering JR and Dorion have teamed up for trades involving a centre before (Brassard albeit he had 2 years). I dont think its too far fetched.

He has been good but the mix of a career high in TOI time, pp time and shooting % will make teams weary. He also wont be seen as a big difference maker for play offs, mostly a 3rd liner for a contender in a depth position. Add in the depth of this draft and how good the quality apparently is and you get a recipe for less 1sts being moved this year.

The Jets terrible PK is more because of the system/strategy they run then the personnel,
it's not very aggressive and it's not a '4 man box' and it's a very bad strategy that won't work. The Jets PK hasn't ever been good since Maurice has been coach other then when he first arrived and this season's decline has as much to do with injuries to Little who is good at faceoffs and Copp who's another good penalty killer.

That's way too much for Hainsey with or without retention.

As a pens fan, I can say that we would love to have Pageau, but definitely do not need Tyler Ennis as we have a plethora of bottom six wingers.
With Guentzel going down our main need now is a top 6 winger but Pageau could push McCann from 3C to top 6W.
Galchenyuk is a UFA so I am not sure what purpose he serves with the Sens unless you want to bring up his value and then flip at the deadline.

Much simpler to just deal picks\prospects for Pageau straight up as we don't really have cap concerns with Jake on LTIR.

2nd + prospect (Addison?)
1st + conditional 2nd?

Addison is too good to be packaged with a 2nd. Ottawa would accept a 1st and a 3rd or Addison and a 3rd.
