Fleeced? This is a 2-way league minimum contract dammit.

On half a year, he will do a maximum of 350k. That's not even the value of beers sold during one home game in MTL.

You know what they say... You look like a fool yadi yadi yada

Sure 350k is nothing. ****, just write that check to me since you got it just floating around!

You like a bunny, love spending other people's money.

Compared to the revenue that the Canadiens get, 350k is nothing.

you just don't seem to get it. Fleecing someone isn't about how much money the other person has and if it's nothing.
Man what are you stupid. He just took them. He can't play anymore. He's done, washed up. But he keeps lining fools up to pay him. It doesn't matter if it's 4 million or 350k, he just took them for it.

Didn't say anything about fleecing, I'm just stating that 350k is nothing.

Im sorry, you are right @pharrow.

350k is a lot compared to what your opinion is worth...

It's still less that what Lukas Vejdemo is paid. Who? Exactly.

Troll at it's finest. He will be lucky to make the top 12 when Montreal gets healthy again.

I know but someone I know who is a Montreal fan said Kovalchuk would be the best winger in Montreal. See sarcasm when you see tHiS aLl oVeR mY mEsSaGeS.

When I see lower and upper caps, I take it as a **** take, not someone who actually believes that.

Kolvie could have had a H.O.F. career, being almost a point per game player, but this comeback has turned his NHL stats to be sub par.

Won't have 1000 GP or 1000 PT, I doubt he would've ever been a HOF player, regardless his last 2 seasons, he's still averaged .53 PPG in his last 2 seasons.

no one missed the point. The guy sucks, he's washed up and done, and they just threw money at him. It's a total waste. He fleeced them. You seem to not get that point.

They gave him the league minimum on a 2 way deal. He put up over a .50 PPG over the last 2 seasons. Who cares if he's washed up, he's still a serviceable NHL player.

I know, just like another player, Ziggy Palffy who averaged over a point per game but played under 700 games. Regardless Kolvie comeback to the NHL was a mistake, the Devils should have vetoed it, did they even get any compensation for his return ?

After he turned 35, Devils no longer held his rights and couldn't veto it. He was an unrestricted free agent.

that's just it, he's not. He was benched in his final games there in LA. He's not an NHL level player anymore. He's done. You might as well handed him a pile of cash to do nothing. They would have been better off giving one of their younger players a shot.

He has 9 points in 17 games this year. How are you going to say he isn't an NHL player?

With all of our current winger injuries, I'm sure Kovalchuk will be a good 3rd line winger. Don't see a fit when everyone comes back though. Might be able to flip him for a pick at the TD

They have to sign a Russian so Romanov can feel comfortable so if it works out id love to keep him solely for that purpose.

Don't know if that's entirely it. I feel like it might entice another young guy from Europe to sign here.
