Description

on http://moneypuck.com you can see the sabres play a very dull style of hockey and limit opponents chances but also don't generate many. The problem is Ullmark and Hutton are both negative and are near the bottom of the league in save % above expected. Scoring is still a problem but imo trading for a better goalie and playing to their strength (dull hockey) could help them a lot in the short term. If they trade for a good goalie and stay relatively healthy they could have a real shot at staying in the race and maybe sneaking in a wild card spot.

I was a lehner fan but idk if he'd be as good as he is now if he was still in BUF. A fresh start was the right thing for him and I'm glad he's playing well

Kinda like i was saying that for the entire season (even before that) before they let him go for nothing

He suffered from mental issues here, but the underlining numbers were still there, he was a good goalie, but that team got no support from their forwards

Zona has no need for that package and are rolling right now, they dont need that trade at all. But yes Buffalo need to upgrade Hutton. They wont, but they need to. Ullmark cant carry the team for 68 games

Ullmarks not bad. But they have UPL coming and Jonas Johansson is going to the AHL all star game, so i doubt Botts uses any assests to fix the goalies
