I think the second round in the deal will be more significant, even your fans say that it is unlikely that Granlund is now worth more than the second or third round.

I think he'll get more in a trade - teams will see it as more of a NSH thing as the whole team is doing poorly this year and look at his great production while in MIN and hope to revive that. In my eyes, he still has fine value despite what people on this site may think

Most likely this will be a deal for another guy who also needs a change of scenery. Given that Granlund is not very productive in Nashville, earns almost 6M and he has UFA at the end of the season, he is unlikely to return the first round, although of course I could be wrong.

I'm not saying he needs to net a 1st - but something better than sheary and a 2nd, yes.

I think a team will still spend high dollars on him - just look at Simmonds last year I think anywhere from $5-6.5m for anywhere between 2-4 years.
