Go to that link and Enter Kane, then look at prior years. There's your stats, and when you question what the stats say, make sure you can back it

Kane put up the most points of his career last year, and put up the second most goals of his career last year.

This year, Kane is on pace to match his goals last year in come in at 3rd best year in his career in points.

All this while playing on a far worst team then he's ever played on as a Hawk.

Now you're going to say he had more TOI last year, true because they were doubleshifting him for 15 games or so, but this year his TOI is back to his average.

So what is it that you're getting at?

Again, go into the link and pull up Patrick Kane and compare it to previous eyars. There are all the stats you need. IF you refuse to do it, I will not make you, but those are the stats that tell anyone who can intrepret them that Kane is slowing down

You meant to say "I can not make you". I did look at the link and reviewed the stats and asking you, what is jumping off the page at you to suggest Kane is regressing?

Do you see the huge red bar? That's what shows he's regressing. If you go back in the years, he's never had a glaring weakness like that. It may be a down eyar, but it would have evened out if it was just a slump. He's either regressing, or he's being exposed with downgraded linemates, and his linemates haven't changed.

That's where you are wrong and i knew you were going to cite that. That's why stat pages give people inaccurate information. His current linemates are Sikura or Nylander and Carpenter. He's played very little on the line with Strome and Cat. He started the season with Toews and Shaw. Last year his linemates were a lot of Strome and Cat and Caggs and Toews.

He is by far playing with the worst line mates of his career this year. His best line mates were the first 10 years of his career.

It doesn't matter, the stats are isolated to Kane only his linemates don't affect it unless he is literally playing with Loui Erikssen and Milan Lucic

The linemates absolutely play a part in that, there is no way to completely objectively isolate it. He's playing with Nylander/Sikura and Carpenter. That's not exactly an upgrade to Lucic and Erikson or that much of an upgrade.

There's a huge difference between playing with Anisimov and Panarin versus those linemates and there is no way to objectively in absolute isolate the stats to kane only.

The fact that you say there is no way to completely isolate it means you do not understand how the analytics work. At this point, I no longer wish to continue this conversation

I get advanced stats and every single GM and scout in the league will tell you it is absolutely a valuable tool but not the only one because you can't complete isolate a player from who's on the ice when they are....it doesn't work that way and this is someone who works for one of the leading AI companies globally. Furthermore, as you said "He's either regressing, or he's being exposed with downgraded linemates, and his linemates haven't changed." You were wrong and realize that linemates matter despite advanced stats otherwise you wouldn't have made that comment.

At this point, I no longer wish to continue this conversion with you.
