Way too much for a rental borderline (at best) top 4, which is so sad, because Dillon will most certainly be one of the "better" UFA rentals this trade deadline.

Too much for a bottom pair rental only to have Dermott Play the right. I’m not sure if leafs are willing to add the 2020 2nd. I could see ceci and a third with a condition on leafs making either ecf or scf where it turns into a 2nd.

So we are in agreement then, right? Leafs cannot be making these type of asset-depleting rental deals just for the sake of trying to get into the playoffs, nevermind getting past the first round. A suddenly, but to be expected on-fire Tampa Bay team, mixed in with the usual great Bruins, and a pretty good Florida team, and I think the Leafs have to do something big on their back end, and probably with their backup goalie situation as well. Dillon is not that something.
