Wow! What have you got against the Wild? To me they've always seemed to be to be a decent, hard-working team without any dirty players. Five of those transactions are horrible for Minnesota, and undeserved.

Well, to begin with, Alex Stalock has started 21 games and is 10-7 with a .906 save percentage, numbers that are better than some teams' starters, so you should be able to get a third-round pick for him from teams in need of inexpensive, quality backups (like San Jose and Toronto, to name just two). At this point in his career, Jesse Puljujarvi is a stab in the dark and you shouldn't have to spend a quality player, even one with attenuated term like Jonas Brodin, to get him. (With Oscar Klefbom and Darnell Nurse on the left side, the Oilers don't really need Brodin, anyway.) Inasmuch as Minnesota almost certainly won't make the playoffs this year, your objective for players like Brodin and Ryan Donato should be to get high draft picks (thirds or better) for them. Marcus Foligno is a character 40-point forward who should bring more than that return and Toronto doesn't need more depth on the wing. Matt Dumba is every bit as good as Jake Trouba (at the worst), so he should bring you a first and Kapanen and probably quite a bit more because the Jets were under pressure to move Trouba, which deflated his value significantly. Finally, Jason Zucker, whatever your feelings for him, is a top-6 forward and Alex Galchenyuk seems to be busy proving he's not and even if he is, is a UFA; that mass of draft picks doesn't seem to make the deal for a dubious backup goalie any better.

P.S. You have to remember that I'm in L.A. and have seen the Wild play maybe half a dozen times this year, so you have to take all of my "insight" with a grain of salt. But I think my general understanding and principles are valid.
