Heads up...incoming "we hate PK" posts coming from jets fans

I like the idea of shaking up the roster, but PK needs to show the NHL that he's capable of being a top 4 guy especially with two more years at 9. I know you have retention, but why would the devils dead PK at a low point and retain salary, when they can hold on to him in hopes he bring his value up so you can actually get something back for him.
I do wonder what Vatanen would cost though

Jets fans definitely do hate PK. But I think his play as of late and alleged locker room issues would be the main issue. This obviously would only happen if buff is 10000% not returning at all. Also jets would have to be 6-8 pts up on a playoff spot to even make a move like this. Right now it’s looking like the 1st will be a lottery pick. Jets are most likely going to go 2-8 in their next 10 games. I see a slide coming for the team.

For sure, Buf situation needs to be figured out (I grind my teeth as i type this). I think there is a deal to be made with the Devils and jets. If Im the devils I try and sell the jets PK and ask for a decent prospect back and probably a 2nd or 3rd pick if there is retention. I would not be trading a 1st if Im the jets. plus they shouldnt have any interest in Gusev right now based on what he makes and where he'd have to play

I don't hate Subban he's just overrated, not the player he once was, is a cap dump and is a locker room cancer, why anyone would want to bring him onto their team I'll never understand.

Even with 50% retention I wouldn't trade for him.

Also the Jets are done for this season, it's time to sell whatever and retool for next season.

What from the last few games tells you the Jets should be doing anything but selling? They're 4 points from last place in the Central and I'm about 99% sure both wild card teams are coming from the Pacific, the Jets aren't making the playoffs this season.
