Not for that return he isn't! LOL

A second pair D man that makes to much money, a prospect who best case scenario turns into a low end 2nd liner and an absolute scrub that hasn't scored a goal and we're already at the all-star break, how is that supposed to get Drouin?

Brodie plays first pair in Calgary and would immediately slot in as the second best defenseman on Montreal's roster. As for Dubé, he will be a solid 2nd line centre and will have a 15 year NHL career. Granted, Jankowski has had a poor season, but bigger picture he is not bad.

I thought Montreal was getting a bit down on Drouin and thought that this would be a decent return.

Playing on Calgary's first pair does not equal being a first pair D-man, by that logic Ethan Bear is a first pair D, but neither of those statements are really close to being true.

You can be as confident as you want in Dube and say he's going to have a career of X amount of years, but in reality you don't know that and he hasn't really done to indicate he will be anything more than a mediocre 2nd liner in the mould of Frolik or Paul Byron, those aren't bad players but those aren't the types of players you center a Drouin deal around.

Janko has no value.

Drouin may or may not be on the outs in montreal but this isn't close to fair.

Lol, I'm not saying Brodie is a 1st pair dman but he definitely would be on the habs. I would never expect a guy with your user name to have a fair assessment of the flames roster. Or even a habs fan to have a fair assessment of any other roster than yours.

Anyway, Drouin is good but he's not that good. With his past and the fact that he's on the outs with the habs means the flames would probably never want him here anyway. He obviously doesn't play well with others or thinks he's more special than he is. Either that or like Edmonton no one wants to play there and he's been outspoken about it.

That said no that proposed deal isn't good enough for Drouin. Even though the pieces in it are far better than you think, they haven't proven themselves
