On a good team he may not have the opportunities he gets in Detroit. Kapanen is producing similar numbers while playing 3rd line minutes. I think AA is a good player though, definitely not near the level of Nylander but he's a 2nd line player on a lot of teams. Good guy to have around.


What opportunities does he get in Detroit? Playing with Glendening? Helm? Nielsen? He would get better opportunities literally anywhere in the league haha. He's a top 6 winger on any team in the league with a talented center. His advanced goal-scoring chance-creating metrics when playing with skill are literally top 20 in the NHL.

Yes I agree around the same value, but only reason people hold a player like Kap in higher regard is because of the players/team he plays with/on.

Sure, maybe. Who knows. As I mentioned, I think he's a good player.
