I do like the trade Schultz-Haula for both sides considering they're both UFAs and fit team needs. Guentzel's injury does give them some cap room to play with, but would still rather a third-team retain the Schultz money (like VGK did with Brassard trade) so Pittsburgh can make a splash to load up for a deep run.

Don't mind the Schultz trade. If PIT is retaining 50%, would want to see some of the infamous D depth that Carolina has. A guy like McKeown would be a nice add.

I think if they move Schultz they should be looking more forward thinking. They can get a young guy with term. No sense in trading rental for rental. Especially out of the defense. Which teams never have enough of, especially going into the playoffs.
