I know it's not likely that Pietro would sign for under 9 mil. Also, it sounds like the leafs and Muzzin are starting to discuss an extension. It just goes to show how trading one of the wingers can help provide lots of salary to spend on defense. This was mostly for fun

If Petro was to sign for 6 instead of 7 it would be for around 9.5 not 8.5

Johnsson can be traded for a good D prospect who is almost ready.

I'd be more interested in moving Kerfoot then Johnsson. Johnsson can be a very effective top-6 winger and then you can slot Engvall in at 3C (which is a great spot for him). Sure you lose some lineup flexibility but as far as who is the best player, I think Kerfoot loses.

Probably but I think Dallas wants too much and the player also wants to much cause he isn't signed so really not worth it

Pietrangelo will get closer to $10 million per, No way in hell he signs for only $8.5 million. It's a 23 man roster an you don't have enough no way the Leafs can afford Pietrangelo.
