I understand completely that they are good, but they are only an offensive powerhouse. Teams need to be balanced on Offense and Defense because at the end of the day Playoff Hockey is completely different from Regular Season hockey. Just because a team is good in regular season (Tampa, Toronto, Washington, Calgary, San Jose) doesn't mean they are gonna make it far, or win a cup.

How many years was St Louis a really good team before winning? These are all big words from a fan who's team was a disappointment in the playoffs for what 7 years in a row and then went all the way. Pittsburgh was an offensive powerhouse and won 2 cups in a row with a suspect defence. But yeah, only what happened last year matters. Keep in mind, if it wasn't for the Leafs PK, Boston wouldn't have got out of the 1st round.

Cool, that sounds great. Now back to the point. St Louis was one of the better teams in the west for years and never made it out of the 2nd round. Then they made all those moves two off seasons ago and after a terrible start turned it around and won the cup. To say they know exactly what it takes and that their roster is the only way to win just ignores everything except the 1 time it worked. So maybe come down from the high horse and stop pretending like you have it all figured out. What happens if St Louis plays a team with blazing speed that causes them all sorts of fits in the 1st round and they get upset, its entirely possible, St Louis isn't exactly a quick team.

MAY make the League LMAO you do what you want with your opinion. You do you dude. I'm done even being in this argument with a HOMER.

No draft pick is guaranteed to make the league. Especially if it's a late first and then into the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Not every player drafted makes it. & the only one arguing is you. A conversation isn't an argument all the time bud.

Lol. Disagreeing and an argument are 2 different things. But if you don't like talking to me, then don't respond to me in the first place bud. Grow up.

or maybe come down from being what you just are. Look at the teams IN THE PAST then, Washington High Powered Offense right, well defensively they were pretty good in the takeaway department too. PITTSBURGH 2017 they had Crosby and Malkin and Kessel who all played pretty big roles defensively. 2015 LAK Kopitar and a few others shall I continue?

Also with the whole "speed" thing. Yeah we played speed, Dallas, Boston, Winnipeg, and San Jose last year. Winnipeg couldn't keep up, Dallas just didn't have enough offense, Grit took out Boston and San Jose. Speed doesn't cause a lot of problems for Berube's offense because it takes a toll on teams. Stamina, and Endurance beats Speed no matter how fast you are speed doesn't keep you from getting injured. and if you are so keen on speed keep your team. Just let me know how losing to Boston a third time feels.

Have fun being on your high horse that you don't realize your on. If you don't want to take opinions from people who aren't Toronto then that's on you. Look how much Toronto fans have gotten Maple Leafs when they leaned on Toronto fans opinion. It really got them absolutely no where for the past years. And don't even think for 1 second that Blues having a bad first half the season doesn't let the Blues count as knowing what it takes because everyone thought they were going to be a top team. But when you add about 8 new faces to the roster, and have about 10 leave. You will have problems with chemistry but it is only a matter of time before it gets fixed. So you can say this say that, and make an excuse for why your team is just fine without Domi because you are a homer. But you need all the help you can get because right now for being so good because of "speed" you sure are making it work barely being in a Wild Card spot there bud. So why don't YOU stop riding your high horse, and stop playing yourself.

I wrote a really long retort but it didn't work. I overreacted there for sure. And then said a bunch of stuff about the Leafs. But whatever, I think it's going to be an exciting season. Have a great weekend pal!
