See all your points. I think tho, getting rid of Ryan’s contract and getting a Norse Contender would be enough to
Get that first if it was me

I think Ottawa would not want to add a major contract, even for someone like Burns. If I had to guess, I would say that the team will try and reach the cap floor with IR exceptions.

Lol absolutely not. Sens don't need to move Ryan, and we extremely do not want Burns. By the time Ottawa is ready to contend, Burns will be like 37 and will likely have started to decline. No chance Ottawa is giving up a lottery pick for that.

The Senators aren’t giving up that 1st. They paid heavy in the Duchene trade. It is somewhat poetic justice that the reversal of fortune has turned in their favour. Ottawa is committed to the rebuild. They have no use for 30+ year defenceman with a long term contract. It make no sense.

OTT Declines.

OTT aims to compete in 3 years. Burns wont have much value at that point and Bobby will be off our books by then. There sadly just isnt a reason for us to make this trade.

Can't believe my post was removed I got an infraction for using racist language, even though I used this word

It seems clear that some posters and moderators need to take an English lesson.
