im saying you're not getting krebs on top of this for petry.

the value is definitely off, but you don't pay that for a #3 defenseman.

Krebs for Petry (half retained) should be the price ( yes it’s an overpaid but you got a #3 RHD at 2.75M for another year ) 1 for 1

Faulk is a pretty comparable player here. Give or take a 3rd round pick worth of value.

He got a #5 D, and a prospect that was a late first, and that trade only happened as a result of an extension.

Petry is older, and is unlikely to get an extension with Vegas.

Mirroring that trade, VGK would give Korczak, McNabb(or equivalent value) and a 2nd.
