Having two quality goaltenders is a necessity these days, and unless the Caps are getting an amazing piece that's under control for a long time, this move isn't the right call. Caps are clearly Cup contenders, and nobody knows how Samsonov might fair in the playoffs. Having Holtby as a safety option is the best idea for us right now, given his incredible playoff track record.

How could you say no? Why not give up assets for a goalie that isn’t playing good and that’s a ufa after this year? Oh you buffalo fans ha you wouldn’t know a great deal if it bit you in the butt
