didn't realize punctuation symbols wouldn't translate in the headline.

Gotta swap out Dermott with someone else. He's 100% no trade from Dubas. Also the 2nd's feel like they dont do anything. One side would argue more or less. Maybe Marincin, Johnsson and the 2nd for Manson and Del Zotto or something.

I hear ya! but if you want this player you have to pay the price and do it now before prices start going up. Considering what has and hasn't occurred so far, combined with a lesson I have learned; "half measures will be disastrous" e.g. UFA will be walking rather than transitioned for futures before the deadline. Dermott is valuable but nowhere near the value of Manson, and the fact that Moore was just traded and sparks the earlier shows your Dubis loyalty theory is flawed.

I understand what you mean about the picks being swapped... Here is what I was thinking; it is because Johnsson and Dermott together is a tad bit more value then Manson straight up and that is a way to balance the value... i.e. Leaf's move up in this years draft selection order in the second round which is optimal since we don't have a first-round pick this year!

I understand about price but the deal would just fall through before it got to Dermott. I still like my rebuttal more than the small addition of the seconds.

I think that's a fair deal with the 2nd round swap giving us the higher pick.
