Columbus isn’t trading their 2020 1st for a wing... if it were Hertl as a center then possibly, but Kane is an overpaid wing we have no need for. Columbus doesn’t need any wings... we need centers, preferably a 2nd line one.

Why would we pay to give them Jumbo and Patty. We downgrade our pick and get AHL players back..

OTT has no need for Jones sorry.

Youd have to compensate us to take 4 years after this year of him

yeah they're in the AHL now but both have good potential. I would say Bracco will definitely play in the NHL and even has chances of breaking the top 6 at some point. Petan is averaging more than a point per game and is only 24.

We're already retaining the most we can, I think it's a low risk move and there's a chance a change in scenery gets him back to where he use to be

"Back where he used to be" isnt what OTT wants though. Even if Jones became prime Jones, we arent in a position to compete right now. The rest of the Sens wouldnt be ready.

His cap hit is big, and OTT has a ton of G prospects in the pipeline.

If we're retaining half his cap-hit isn't big

That just leaves his contract being 5 years, and him being bad.

TOR gave a 1st round pick to get rid of 1 yr of Marleau at 6M. You want us to take 4 @ 2.85M AND give you a pick. NYI want to give a 1st to get rid of Ladd. BOS is talking about sending a 1st to get rid of Backes.

All old. All with term. All about as likely to become good again as Martin Jones.
