Not even close on Labanc. Cost is a first and a decent prospect

You'd need more than a rental RHD going to ANA, especially if he's just a bounce back candidate

Was he a rental last year...? I swear he was a rental sometime, they'd still need more than him tho, he has not been good in WSH, they'd have to hope for him to bounce back to his DET form

Can’t really argue here. He’s on pace for like 45 points this year and he’s coming off a 56 point year last season. He’s signed for cheap and looks solid in all 3 zones. Admittedly I have watch any Sharks games this year so idk much about him but preseason people spoke highly of him and he took a massive discount to help them out. Seems like an ideal player for any franchise based off that alone.

Would you do a 2nd and Protas? He’s top 2 offensive prospect in our system and looks like he’s producing at a close to Cozens rate in Juniors? Maybe add LucaJo?

I agree but Sutter is one of the capitals best kept secrets in the preseason. If he didn’t get hurt I bet he makes opening day roster. They really liked him. Sanford type preseason with the capitals. Maybe add another pick or another prospect or Djoo/ Boyd?

I like Protas, but I think he’s pretty risk/reward. I think an early second and him would do it but Washington’s second is much more likely to be late. Is Mcmicheal totally off the table because I’d love to have him with his chemistry with Merkley and he was just a late first

Honestly I think he’s untouchable. He’s a late 1st round pick but so was kuzy. I the capitals trade him I imagine it would be for like a boqvist type player. I’m in a position where I’m going to be bias (trying not to be) where I want last years prices for today’s players. Imo Protas is also going to be a stud but I completely understand why sharks want more of a sure thing
