What do you suggest that the Sharks are going to need for Dillon? Thought this was more than adequate for his services but you have a much higher value of this player than I do, so I am interested in your comments.

Based on all insider knowledge and the trades made this week. He will get a second and a decent prospect. I would maybe be interested in Mikhail Abramov or SDA.

Not sure we can get a deal as Leafs can not afford to give up their second round pick this year with it being a deep draft and no first round draft pick.

Well, the 2021 first rounder could be another option, but as I understand the leafs want to pay big prices for someone with term.

I think you are right in that the Leafs are looking for a right handed defenceman with term which may or may not be available. I actually think that the Leafs may have to consider trading Nylander in the future to free up capspace for a quality defenceman around a similar age because the team may have too much money tied up in their 4 core forwards which is hurting their defence. This is actually the opposite problem of what the Sharks have too much capspace tied up in their defence.

Just a thought - swap Nylander with part retained Burns. Could work for both teams.

But to be on the safe side, add a condition on the SJ side of the trade such as if the player doesn't get certain amount of points in certain amount of games the team has to pay up some pick as a compensation.

For example if Burns plays over 135 games and doesn't score over 100 points combined in 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons SJ will have to give up 2023 1st or 2nd round pick or something like that. That way they don't just get absolutely fleeced with a bad contract on their hands while losing a great forward in Nylander...

As you can see above, there isn't either of those, so stop looking. Smartass.
