As a CHI fan, I'd do it. Would you make it (2) 2nds if we took Jon Merrill?

I did debate that exact scenario when doing this, so I probably would. I just decided to keep Merrill for depth.

Also I selected VGKs 3rd this year, but would probably try to compromise at NJD 3rd which will essentially be a late second at this rate.

CBJ won’t trade tarasov, but probably have someone else we could trade to play goal

Condition: Chicago receives the higher of the two 2020 3rd round picks Vegas owns (VGK or NJD). So yeah basically NJD's 3rd...

With the 2020 draft being as good as it is, a 2021 draft pick next year isn't that much of a give. Plus, NJD's 3rd is basically a late 2nd rounder..

Also, I like that goalie trade. Smart move.

Fair enough. I just went with a guy buried down cap friendly. Like I mentioned it’s more for cap relief and organizational depth. So anyone that can play in the minors next season would do.

Makes sense. I wouldn’t really say no to anything roughly in that ballpark.

Honestly I selected the picks I did based on VGK having 2 next year in the second and 2 this year in the third.

No rocket science to the thought process. Lol
Green4D4Again liked this.
