lmao agreed........ but what more do they expect for Barrie..... you get Stecher who is RFA next season, a 21-year-old prospect, and a 3rd round pick for a player that they are losing for nothing in summer lol

It's not necessarily the value, it's that it doesn't match their needs. Stecher is a big downgrade, Lind is okay but he doesn't help them right now. They already have a ton of forward depth. A third round pick this year still wouldn't help them soon enough, not to mention one in 2022.

Stecher is an upgrade defensivly imo.

IF he is, it is not by enough to make up for the downgrade in every other area. He puts up slightly better defensive numbers than Barrie while playing against weak competition. So they maybe get a little upgrade in one area at the cost of huge drop offs in most other aspects.
