That’s an easy no from the ducks. Both prospects aren’t even in the top 10 for WSH who has one of the worst systems in the league. It’s basically a 1st and a lesser replacement for Manson retained.

Put the same trade on a Ducks ACGM earlier today just to see what some Ducks fans thought of it and generally the impression is that the value is fair, but Murray would say no because it isn't an overpay.
Leason still holds value as a prospect even though he has struggled in Hershey this year, and Vanecek has shown he could have legit starter potential during his time in the AHL the past couple seasons.

Double check the prospects and respond. Also Washington has the best center in the OHL and the 2nd best Center in the WHL. They also have a top 3 team in the AHL. Think you are basing your “worst” system off a preseason article which didn’t realize that Protas and Mcmichael who be this dominant

I went to someone paid to rate prospects who rated all 31 teams prospects and each teams system. WSH was ranked 29th and neither of those prospects were mentioned. They listed 15. I’ll go by that over someone on cap friendly.

Yeah again that list was made in the preseason before Mcmichael and Protas had break out years in Junior. I simply just gave you 3 facts that would disprove what somebody wrote over summer. You can google it yourself. Don’t be a sheep. Form your own opinions by watching highlights and looking up stats. People get paid all the time to write opinionated articles doesn’t mean it’s accurate or factual.

No it was just published at the beginning of the month. Try looking it up yourself. 2 nothing prospects, an older lesser replacement and a late 1st doesn’t get Manson.

13 points in the A. That’s not a top prospect. .910 save % is solid but nothing great. Like I said they’re low rated prospects in a poor system.

Edit: I stand corrected. I missed Leason on the list. He’s 4th in the 29th ranked system. 3rd line winger upside but still a project. Still not the kind of prospect that makes this deal.

“29th ranked” yet we have the 2 of the best center prospects available and a top 10 defenseman prospect. 100%!read the same article it was in the athletic. Posted before the season started. Hardly matters. Leason is going to be fine and he’s not 4th in our system. That’s again how I know that article is trash.

Mcmichael
Fehérváry
Alexeyev
Protas
Ajf
Martin Hugo Has
Pilon

Guys like
Nardella Clark and Sutter were injured so had late starts Sutter looked like he might make the caps before getting hurt.

Leason is having a down year but that hardly matter. “Experts” said Vrana wasn’t great either bc he was getting benched in Hershey. He’s going to score 65-70 points this year. They claimed Sanford was the better player. Again don’t be a sheep these writers are frequently wrong. I think the ducks would rather has a RHD coming back but who knows you just picked one up from Boston.

They just released a top 100 prospect list and buffalo had 1 player on it. I would google a more up to date list guy.

Bottom line you're getting Manson for those pieces, Mike Green to the Caps is more realistic then Josh Manson that's for sure.
