Description

Barrie is GONE today for sure. Likely Vancouver for huge haul, his agent is apparently speaking to Canucks about extension which would higher the price.

I had multiple people I trust tell me that Kapanen might be easily gone by deadline. But that the offer must be very good for Leafs to move him. But that Kapanens name is out there and dont be shocked, surprised if he is traded (possibly with some assets from Barrie trade) for defenseman Leafs need, depends on defenseman.

Imo VAN should not be moving roster players for Barrie. With Boeser's injury, Virtanen is too important to give up.

Can't really see Barrie fetching up that much in value to be fair.

Apparently Leafs want 1st round pick + 3rd liner + prospect for Barrie. Maybe minus prospect if not re-signed afterwards. So you are maybe looking at Haula/Foegele + 1st for Barrie when it comes to Carolina.

Oh definitely not a big name prospect, thats for sure. We talk about bigger prospect with Canucks because they talk with agent about extension. I would do Erik Haula + 1st + Blake Murray (OHL) definitely.

Haula is pretty bad, not sure he helps the Leafs at all. The 1st back is very good, I'd love to get a Drury or Kuokkanen as well. I'd much prefer Martinook, McGinn or even TVR to make salary work for Carolina. That being said, if we get the prospect that we want, Haula is acceptable.
