The money couldn’t get worked out. I’m assuming Lou wanted Minnesota to retain more salary even with Ladd going back in the deal.

Pageau signing is great. He’s only 27 - but it likely means cizikas is gone after next season unless he takes a big discount. Pageau is basically a younger cizikas who’s better on faceoffs and generates more offense.

It depends on what Cizikas is willing to sign for, I'd rather keep him. We'll see there. I think this is more that we can now trade Koivula.

Of course I’d like to keep cizikas. But someone will give him 4 mill x 3-4 years and we can’t afford that. We’re going to need a Bridgeport player who’s making 700 k- 1 mill playing 4C. Like a bardreau,l or fritz
