1000% you were going off that summer saying Tavares was going to go to Montreal. Its been widely reported that MB wanted to pitch to Tavares really badly but JT had no interest in going to Montreal. I'd wager you are saying this partially because you are bitter he chose TO and didn't even give Montreal the time of day.

Tavares is worth every cent of that contract and he has been great this whole time. Also Tyson Barrie was on trade block because Leafs wanted different fit on blue line not to get rid of him.

Except for the fact that the Panthers don’t need Nylander as much as they need Ekblad. So if a team doesn’t drastically overpay it will never happen.

I did read it, you are massively bias against TO. You say you like them but then support a crazy overpayment because Leaf fans overrate their player. Nylander is 36th overall in points this season and makes less than 7 million but he's still in your eyes and every other Leaf troll on here, overrated. Ekblad is good but he isn't some allstar super 2 way defender. He's a capable player and is likely a #2 on a tonne of teams but he isn't the #1 on most teams. He's a very good top pair defender. Nylander is a very good top line winger who can win draws and drive possession and is also only 23. His best hockey is ahead of him.
