With that trade we get rid of Parise bad contract and get a RW with potential. I look at as if ho-sang was available in 2nd round would I draft him he’ll yeah.

Isles cap liability is going up. Need to retain at least $2M, probably more. We'll just keep Ladd and let contract expire two years sooner if that's the best deal on the table.

Or, we can move Ladd for a 1st+Bellows to someone else and fully clear the $5.5

What happened to Soucy? Who do they protect in expansion on D?

Yeah, I don't get going out and acquiring a defenseman. That's literally the only position that doesn't need any upgrades and could actually be downgraded a bit to fix other holes in the roster.

Also puzzling is playing Greenway on the 4th line while the shell of Andrew Ladd plays on the 3rd line. Or making that trade to get Ladd to begin with, I'd rather have the 2nd and Parise. Ho-sang isn't worth much at this point.

I understand getting a D if you move out people, but this scenario has Brodin and Dumba still around AND adding a D. Makes zero sense.
