Description
We're going to suck again no doubt, brought in Dell to help back up Bernie because none of our goalie prospects are ready. Giving Svech a chance this year to prove he belongs. Hope the hockey gods give us Alexis L. Also brought back Bowey and Timashov, hope they can take the next step but if not they can be some good trade bait. Assuming Yzerman gives guys in GR like Smith, Ras, Vel, and some D prospects ice time and a possible move up if guys get moved/scratched/injured.

It doesn't have to be both - but something HAS to be done with either Abs or Frans

I don't think Fabbri's AAV is too far off, but I think he more likely signs a 1-2 year deal as opposed to 3 years at that money. The rest of the contracts seem pretty reasonable to me

Doubt you’re too far off; I’d say 2 years for Fabbri and 1-1.3 AAV for Bowey if they resign him, I don’t see him as much more than a 7th Dman on a good team. Other than that the rest looks fine

If the Wings land Lafreniere, acquire a 2C, 1G and a top 4 dman are they still a bottom feeder/bottom 5
team in the league OR could they be a bubble team?

Yeah a bit of a overpayment but if he can take the next step I think it would be a good value....but he has to take that step

That’s a lot of “if’s,” but assuming a few of those hit and the Wings stay healthy than I think they are much improved and will be in the playoff conversation till mid March but still not quite there. At best they are pick 12-14. Also remember they lost DK for the entire season and Mantha for about half, before injury Mantha was on a 40+ goal trajectory and DK, while not a top pairing guy, is still a stabilizing force on our D line..
