no. you need to continue playing him at center and build his confidence. in fact they should be playing 15-18 mins a night. play him as much as possible. let him make mistakes and learn. they arent making the playoffs. so let him play.
Sorry i was always under the impression more minutes built confidence in players not bottom 6 minutes with rotating wingers over top line minutes.
Its how it was when i played and seems to be how they still approach things in junior .
I mean i get your point but to me if you want the minutes but arent good enough to play head to head vs top lines Centers then you get broken in on wing.
Suzuki's good but he's not take on Toews ,Tavares ,or Crosby good . Suzuki will get there but to be honest his offense if we want it always stemmed from him being on Wing.
Center before being traded last year to Guelph and even though he was brought in to replace injured Center Hillis they played him on Wing because he was to dominate not to .
If Suzuki wants to be Center like Poehling and Kotkanemi he has to go back to Junior to learn how to wing DZ faceoffs . All 3 more or less can do fine in the OZ but in the NZ or DZ they struggle putting it all on Danault .
Besides with our Center Depth having him bounce back and fourth off Wing and Center makes sense as long as he's moving to wing for more minutes.
I believe he'll be a Center one day but if we take this route we're better off just like TML was with Marner who played about as much Center as Suzuki in his memorial cup win .(given they train together for the past 2 seasons and he's building his style after Marner quite a bit actually ... it just makes sense to explore our options )
