Maybe not a 4th but definitely don’t need to pay to move him.

you can get Domi's used jock strap for that but not the player himself.

Indeed, I think it's pretty fair value for him. It's hard to say, because he is quite inconsistent so far in his young career. As of today, it could be a good deal for both teams.

If it's the 2020 1st and Vesalainen I think it's more fair. Maybe throwing in Perrault in the trade would also help a bit

Lol no, no guarantee Vesalainen will even be close to Domi's production in short/middle term. He showed no sign it will happen either. A 2020 Pick could be more tempting but as of right now, its not even a lottery pick. Even if think Ehlers is a little bit better, the production, age and contract (Domi should get about 6 too) of both players is very similar.

Would you trade Ehlers for habs 2021 1st and Ryan Poehling? I dont think you do. Even with the 2020 1st in the top 10 I think you refuse.

That’s such a horrible take you can say that with any prospect you way overvalue you’re player and it’s funny you counter with ehlers when he is much better then domi.. idk how you can think domi would be worth a lottery pick that’s priceless..

I don’t think I’d give the 2020 pick for him way too inconsistent for this draft to pay that.

Yeah but some have higher ceiling and show an impressive curve of progression, Vesalainen doesnt really do well in both of those things. For the picks, I agree that he isnt worth a top 5 picks but he can do better than a 16th and a A-/B+ prospect. Ehlers isnt muuuuuch better than Domi too. 0.69 PPG vs 0.66 PPG, both in five seasons. Domi did it with ****ty teams while Ehlers did it with a contender team for most years playing along side incredible players. Ehlers as an edge on defensive ability but Domi have more grit and toughness. So talk about overvaluing a player.

And I even agreed with you that Ehlers was better but so does the 2020 pick of MTL in my counter scenario, wich will be the 8th overall. So if you cant accept the 8th pick and a 2017 1st rounder (25th overall), your offer of a 16th overall and a 2017 first rounder (24th overall) is not worth it.

You just dont get a 25 years old top 6 winger for that, as inconsistent as he is. Go see the other Winnipeg threads with Domi, 75% of the propositions are Much better than yours.

75% are better because it’s habs fans asking for heinola vesa plus a 1st which is outrageous.. would actually love to hear what you’d offer..? Domi has literally done nothing overly special to deserve more then a good prospect and probably a top 15 pick in next years draft

Funny how you completly ignored everything on the argument beside the last sentence. Anyway a fair offer for Ehlers if we stay in the prospects/picks situation would be something around Romanov and the 2021 1st. Maybe a decent roster player or two would be added like Lekhonen and Evans or some others decent picks like 2nd rounders. We could also relieve you of the Perrault contract too

Romanov ,2021 1st, 2 x 2020 2nd
VS Ehlers
Or
Romanov, Evans, Lehkonen, 2021 first
VS Ehlers ans Perrault

On either case I wouldt do it, not because it's too much or anything but because those kind of assets should be used to adress our defensive problems.
