Actually for the past 2 seasons Huberdeau has been better. Barkov is a great 2 way player and is underrated but Huberdeau is good 2 way but is much better on offense

Spurgeon,>Fiala. Couturier>konecny and imo petty>Markstrom. Markstrom is a top 5 goalie but not as good

Huberdeau is a very average defender. He doesn’t have great defensive metrics and even more without barkov. So Barkov have a huge edge in that department over huberdeau. And barkov have a lot more responsibility as a center. Huberdeau have been stellar for the last 3 season and he sure deserved credit for that but saying he outplayed a guy like barkov is right.

Actually it’s been the first year that huberdeau have more point then Barkov. Barkov also have been use mostly in defensive attribution in the past season doiing it brilliantly. This year have been tougher he battle some injuries and never look a 100%.
