NYR would love that trade... Columbus declines it so quickly. Andersson is a bust and Smith is a cap dump that Columbus has no use for. At least Wennberg provides some sort of positive on ice value to the team and organization... Andersson is in Sweden because he refuses to play in any other league but the NHL and smith is a cap dump...

Andersson is not valueless and is the exact prospect type you need. Smith's one year is simply to make the cap work. I can up the pick to a 2nd. Wennberg honestly doesn't carry much value, and a former 1st round prospect with a good skill level is a pretty good steal. He's a what-if, but a high risk vs reward.

Deangelo is gonna want more on a 7 year contract. That Columbus trade doesn't make sense, Columbus needs centers and I know Anderson is not gonna be better than Wennberg

Basically zetterberg unofficially retired so hes on ltir. Lunquist knows his time is probably up so the team will do the same thing (he will unofficially retire) till his contract is up

big maybe. until then let's just assume buyout. they essentially are the same thing in a cap sense.

true but i think they want his last year with the team to be great for his legacy not just oh in his final year we bought the king out. Not a good image there but still I can see them doing that
