Florida supposedly has a mandate from ownership to cut payroll by $10M. Kane, love him or hate him is worth more than 2 2nd rd picks. So yeah that trade isn’t happening.

Leafs don't have anyone they need to buyout so in a way your getting Sörensen and a 1st for Johnsson

Doesn't really matter what team he goes to or the picks, just getting him off our team. Not because I dislike him or anything, I just think we could get other players for less.

Ferraro is very underrated and will most likely play on our 2nd pair next season. This was his first NHL season and was on pace for about 15 points. We could give you Simek instead if you wanted given he has more experience given he's played top pairing minutes with Burns.

That’s fair, but really what is SJS? IMO they were a team that got crushed by injuries and bad goal tending, and are actually pretty good and Kane is part of that. Sometimes it’s better to go with what you got.

Well how I kind of look at is Kane and Sörensen for our 1st and 3rd line LWs. We traded both of them which enabled us to have Killorn and Johnsson, which in my opinion are more valuable and Kane and Sörensen are even slightly more expensive.

I think you are over valuing Johnson but that’s just my opinion.

Killorn and Kane are about the same, but Kane's contract is a lot worse. Johnsson is without a doubt better than Sörensen though. Still costs more, but the gap between Johnsson and Sörensen is less than the gap between Kane and Killorn.
