What has me thinking this way is that he was part of the package that was a thwarted attempt to bring Kadri to Calgary. This season, an outlier or not, did not help cement him a role with the Flames long term.

Now, if I am right I could see the Flames doing a 1 year deal with him, but of course, there would be a little competition there.
