Signing Domi to a 2 years deal is the worst scenario possible. He become Ufa after that so Mtl can gave him a 1 years deal and evaluate next offseason what they do with him or lock him long term this offseason. They could also trade him but they would be better to do it this year he would hold more value.

I don't think Buffalo would do that. Why would they?

I'd be willing to do the Philly trade however. Im on the fence on whether I think they'd do it though.

Because they a top6 winger and a #4-5 very young def at controled cost, a bottom 2nd round pick in a deep draft and a B- prospect

Is that enough for a top line RW that has produced better than Drouin has and also has less baggage? IMHO no. They get a worse winger who they already know has baggage just so they can play Mete at the bottom pairing and get an extra 2nd rounder? I wouldn't do that. Its not garbage but its nothing special that makes them want to make this trade.

I mean he was healthy scratched so that tells you where they value him. Are they willing to get a roster player to dump his contract? Maybe, where are the Flyers fans when we need them.
But if that move doesn't work we're shooting ourselves in the foot for cap space next year.
