Let's start with Gally, i love him and alot of people do and rightfully so,but.....i know that in the near future if he keeps playing like this he's gonna break down cause of his size, but thats what makes him so valuable now, cause of his style of play. Dont take it as a an attack but how can you say no to Stone? hes a beast. He'll be effective much longer than Gally. Next there's a few things that I had to take into consideration. One them being that I won't be able to protect everyone that I would like from the expansion draft, I've come to the conclusion that there's gonna be 3 forwards that I like and there's a high chance I'll lose one of them, it's between JVR (he's contract is decent but he's 27, he's not old but older then the 2 others). Nichushkin ( he's 21, huge and he's not even in his prime) and Shaw (he's 24, 2 Cups, he's got gritt and character which he brings every shift). Now I either let someone get drafted by Vegas or I trade them before hand. Call me crazy (which you have reason to do so cause of the trades I put together ) but I'm a true believer in 3 scoring lines and 1 energy line. At 1 point in their careers all the top 9 players played on their respective team's top line, so I have all the reasons to believe that I'm icing 3 #1 lines. Unfortunately no line is getting much more minutes than the other, unless they're having a bad night and I have to bench them a few times. But my goal is to have all the top 9 players close in points (perhaps not Ghetto). I know I'll get a 1st rnd pick for JVR at the trade deadline but I have to find a way to bring Nichushkin s value up also so I can get a 1st for him also (a desperate contender will give up a 1st for him for sure, JVR I can get a 1st from any team). Now there's the chance that Vegas might draft a defenseman and I'm gonna have to leave Edler or Johnson unprotected cause my gut says that Sergachev or Beaulieu will be able to fill in that spot full time next year. Again I have the option of trading 1 of them (Edler or Johnson) which I can probably get a 1st rnd pick if I can ,again find a cup contender on trade deadline who's desperate to make a push for the cup. Out of all these scenarios, 1 of them will happen. So if I lose JVR or Nichushkin or Edler or Johnson, along with getting freed from Parentau's cap hit, Flynn will be done also, Bernier too, and from what I hear and read about Lindgren he'll be probably good enough to be my backup. I'll have enough space to give Galcheniuk 6.25 mill for 8 years. Also my gut says that Scherback will be ready the year after, he's a lefty playing RW, so I can definitely slot him on LW to replace JVR or Nichushkin . Also if Ghetto has a decent year playing along 1 of these 3 centers, I'll be able to trade him for something decent. (I prefer MT really manages his matchups precisely so that he doesn't face the opponents top shutdown lines). Now if he's gone, I'll be able to put McCarron there and I'm drooling for a line made up of Nichushkin RNH McCarron. Now also the cap will go up next year. I can give Parayko 4.5 mill for 4 years and do some magic to give Beaulieu a raise to around 3 mill for 2 years. To summarize, the money I'll have on the table freed from either JVR Johnson or Edler along with the cap going up I'll be able to resign Galchy Parayko and Beaulieu.
