Description
Flat cap, no CBO. I felt inspired after listening to The Hockey Guy youtube on the offseason outlook of the Oilers. An attempt to role 3 lines.

AA needs to prove himself after last years -46, so gets a bump, but is likely playing as 2nd line given the history. I've seen the Connor Brown for Russell and Poolparty trade and really liked it.

Ottawa just laughs. Need to add a 1st to that. Puljujarvi is just enough to take Russell cap dump you still need to pay for Brown.

Too much for AA given his -46
I would recommend signing bear to long term
Too much money for benning
Mantha's hockey career is basically over
Nolan Vesey is useless
Too much money and one year too much term for green
Lavoie is better off staying in the AHL
First trade is alright but I would recommend the oilers recieving a conditionial third if poolparty explodes
The second trade is bad, in that your dumping two players by giving away two solid prospects and 1 first. You can easily trade chaisson for a sixth or fifth and larsson can most likely get you a second and a prospect. If a team is really desperate, you can even trade larsson for a first

Your cheap owner, Melnyk ,will love russell contract as after his summer bonus is paid, Russell is only owed 1.5 mil in actual money for next season

Melnyk might like Russell's contract but Russell isn't even worth 1.5M. Puljujarvi is a draft bust, he isn't nearly enough for a guy on pace for 50 points and playing 20 minutes per night in all situations.

His return should be at least as much as Athanasiou if not more. He's a top line forward on Ottawa.

Russell can help the Senators on the pk as he played an average of 2:19 on the pk and the senators pk is pretty bad

What happens to our PP? It's the worst in the league already. It's literally a cap dump for a top 6 winger. We'll give you Zaitsev and Paul for Nugent Hopkins

You can replace him with a top 3 player from the draft, but I get what you mean
