Leafs fans turning on their best players? Come on

I remember watching a few years ago when the leafs were battling to get to make the playoffs and with 2 games to go phaneuf made a stupid play and lost the game.. leafs fans were outraged and were about to run him out of town.. then with one game to go he scored the game winner and everyone was singing his praises calling him the best capt they ever had, now they ended up missing the playoffs but if the point remains. This the the time I gave up on the leafs as a franchise

You can't go out and trade Freddy because he had a down year. Besides, if he remains meh next season, he's a free agent anyways. Trading Fred is not the key
