Fat chance of Lehner signing that cheaply, Even with Nevada a tax free State Lehner is going to want to get paid. Try more like 5 x 6.5 or 5 x 7 minimal perhaps even more.

There's a better chance Lehner signs for 5.9 mil then there is Byfuglien ever playing hockey again. The 1.1 mil difference between Byfuglien and Whitecloud makes it possible to pay Lehner 7 mil a year...

Stastny turns 35 in December which means we can sign him to a league minimum (plus performance bonus) contract extension in January. So while nobody here in Vegas is crazy about "$6.5M Stastny", I think "$800K Stastny" next year would be amazing. His leadership will be so beneficial for Glass and Roy and Krebs and he'll barely dent the piggy bank. A little short term pain for long term gain.

Perhaps. But playing on a winning team, getting an 18% raise when most other signings will take a paycut this year, no serious wear and tear on the body if sharing the crease with Flower, and no state income tax here.....I'm saying there's a chance.

Possibly. But do the math on that zero state income tax...it's no small thing.

Tuch doesn't warrant a first-round pick

also, since the NHL would probably bring back compliance buyouts, just use the CBO on Fleury and re-sign him for cheap

Tuch doesn't have much value right now but I wouldn't sell low on him. He'll be a good'un making under 5m when he puts it together. Speed+size+smarts, you can't teach that.
