That is a big overpay for Strome. Now Eichel doesn't have anyone to play with
All of Strome's points are just Kane doing everything then feeding him. Or Strome passing it to Kane and Kane scoring

If you could resign Saad this looks like a good deal.

Reinhart has never really been without a bonafide 1C linemate in Buff between Eichel and ROR and Strome hasn't either in Chicago.

Saad replaces Reinhart's points while bringing a different game, Sabres get their 2C that can bring Skinner back to a 30 goal forward, Id like Chicago to add like a decent bottom 6 forward to this but the only one that fits that mold is Nylander

If the players hit their bonuses Sabres dont have room to work without getting penalized

Why not just try Reinhart at center and sign a winger in free agency, someone like Granlund.

Reinhart isnt a good center, and I dont think he's much of a player without Eichel tbh. I dont like what I see from him often and he's only been a 50-60 point player when paired with Eichel or ROR. I'd rather move him before we overpay him then find out hes just an average 40-50 point player

This doesn’t work for Chicago. Montour only adds to our defensive logjam; on the right side we have Boqvist, Mitchell, Murphy and Seabrook...that doesn’t include a pretty good prospect with Refula.

For the same reason people knock Strome’s production, the same can be said of Reinhardt.

Saad also will get more at the TDL if the Hawks decide to move him.

Bottom line, we aren’t giving up a top line winger and 2C for a lateral move and a D guy we have no need for.

Clearly you haven’t a clue. What about the other half of the time when Strome plays without Kane? Again, you don’t have a clue, not to mention Strome just turned 23 a month ago...he’s a kid and doing damn well given that.

Which is why the Hawks don’t want to trade a kid that just turned 23 for that risk either and swap Saad a great two way winger for another RHD guy when we already have too many (Murphy, Mitchell, Boqvist, Seabrook)

He's a solid bottom pairing guy but he should be getting 1.5-2M. There's no way he should be in the top 4.

Doesn't matter. He only plays good with good players. An overrated guy. When he was playing in Erie he had his numbers up because he played with Mcdavid. There is nobody good on Arizona so nobody was able to carry him.

He is a 2nd pair guy, as he was in New Jersey and his First season with the Bruins. He just got stuck behind Chara, Krug, and Griz

Yes, John Moore is a 2nd - 3rd dpair guy who is stuck behind Krug, Chara, Griz, and at this point Lauzon only because he plays a big bad bruins brand of hockey.

You can look at his stats from his first year with Boston when he didnt share that 3rd dpair time with anyone (and again, he was only on the 3rd pair because of Chara and Krug)

If the Sabres wanna either change that 4th or a 3rd and the bruins throw in a 6th, the trade can be: Moore, Celharik, and a 6th for a 3rd. Buffalo rounds out their defense with a solid player (who can rebound after getting screwed by crazy depth, NOT poor play), and this trade is done (and they get a 6th too, so even more fair)
