Too many dominoes have to fall here for this to be realistic.
I want to say Skjei will succeed here once CAR is healthy. Pesce tends to make whoever he plays with look good, but due to injuries there hasn't been much consistency. Besides, it won't take a cap dump to move him.
Killorn will hardly cost that much. I think there's something with a retained Dzingel for Killorn though. TB is concerned about nothing other than good players on cheap cap hits. If a retained Dzingel was moved with, say a 2nd for Killorn, TB probably bites. Paying a top prospect for him given that TB must move him seems over the top.
I would also rather give Bean/Fleury the job over deal with Gudas cap the next year. You mentioned cap coming off, which is true, however at the same time many of the positions will need replacements that aren't at a cap saving. 7M+ will likely go back into that net. Given that Fleury or bean are essentially the same thing, just cheaper, I'd rather let them develop.
Not really... It's 4 trades, at least 1 of each is ideally a draft day trade and 1 UFA signing... I hate Skjei, he just hasn't been good in years, I actually don't mind Strålman, I don't think he was as horrible as people give him credit for last year, Suzuki isn't a top prospect, ik he was hurt, but he showed minimal progression from last year to this... That's really bad for a guy going from good DY to DY+1, even if it was just bc the injury, he still lost a crucial year on his development... I'd honestly rather have a 2020 second than him rn... I also LOVE Killorn, he was insane this year, whoever gets him is gonna absolutely fleece Tampa, he's a legit top 6 forward who can put up 2+ 5v5 P/60 and play a really solid two way game
I don't particularly trust Bean or Keane yet, and Fleury and Bean are both Left shots, I think we need a 1 year stopgap at RD, probably comes from a trade now that I think about it, we'll have McKeown or Keane there, then we'll target a rental some time around Dec or Jan...
I don't think this team needs a goalie, I think they're done with just getting reclamation projects and making them succeed (Ned will just come up the next year, for almost no cap hit) and Fleury is a good bit better than Bean, and far better defensively
