I see where you are going here but, I don't agree.
Trading Matthews and essentially pinning your hopes on a recently injury prone and aging 34 year old defensman isn't the solution IMO.
Tatar is a good winger but, not as good or as valuable as Nylander IMO.
That centre group just got a whole lot weaker too.
If I am trading Matthews, I want three pieces back in the deal, (as you have here), just not "these" particular pieces.
Think.... Matthews to the NYR and the Leafs getting Zibanejad + Trouba + a pick or a prospect kind of thing. (This is an example, not a suggestion).
Hard pass from me on this one. Better options out there. Thanks for posting.
