That Tor trade is bad for MN.

Not sure why Car would want Pateryn.

I'm meh about the NYR trade, but okay with the contract Strome got.

How do you see it that bad for Minny? Yes they’re taking on cap but two guys with decent production under contract for years with modest cap hits. I get the JEE has the potential but hasn’t produced enough and Hartmann has been a bust. Could take the pick out too. Figured Carolina use a good vet right d man but that might be an overpay. Strome showed he can produce on the third line and even more so with a top player. Could be a good match with Kaprizov

Hartman is an ideal 4th liner and a RHS. Johnsson is just another LHS FWD that would be fighting for 4th line time in MN. JEE outproduced Kerfoot this year while playing as MN's shutdown center and no PP time, and he's 3 years younger.

I’d be fine sending Pateryn to any takers for that. Could maybe see a deadline deal come into play if Wild are looking to be out of the playoff race come that time.

Wild are fine on LD unless they plan on moving Brodin, and Ryan Strome isn’t good enough to be a first line center, so I’d probably pass on that NYR trade. I’d rather just try to bring Haula back.

For the Toronto one, I’d rather have JEE and Hartman. Don’t see Kerfoot as an upgrade and simply don’t need to add Johnsson to an already overcrowded LW with Parise, Fiala (who we had to move to RW), Greenway, Donato, Foligno, Kaprizov (who admittedly is questionable what side he’ll play at this point) and with Boldy and Beckman in the pipelines.

I'm all for dumping Pateryn (and Hunt). I just don't see Car as the team that would want him. Nothing wrong with Pateryn, he's a quality 3rd pair/PK d-man, just MN has Menell and Belpedio would I'd like to see get playing time.

Yeah I doubt Carolina wants him too, that’s why I’m thinking the more likely scenario is sending him somewhere around the trade deadline, maybe to a team who has a 2nd/3rd pairing guy go down and they don’t feel like they have a capable replacement in their system. Same thing for Hunt as well.
