There won’t be Cbo! That a bullshat thing that have been circling around here. And doubt that a team like Tampa Bay who barely turn profit, would gave away 20 millions in dead money. People around here doesn’t realize how
Much money are involved in those Buyout. People don’t have any kind of Knowledge about money around here.

That's not a terrible offer, moves a lot of money out for Tampa.

Breaking down the trade

Gourde, Sergachev = Mete, 3rd because Gourde's negative value also affects Serg
Paquette ≠ Armia and a 2nd

getting sergachev back would be a win for montreal. that gourde contract could be poison if he doesn't get better. makes it hard to keep tatar, gallagher, danault and petry since you're right at the cap.

That was the main purpose! Probably they get a much better return on a only Sergachev involved deal but Moving 7 millions in Paquette ans Gourde who probably won’t waive is Clause for any team except Montreal since is wife is from the area, would be costly for Tampa. It still very unlikely but i wanted to see if that would make sense.

Because the Cap is likely to stay at 81,5 millions. The last time that this where awarded it was in a negotiation year and both parties have agreed on it. The main purpose of that Cbo thing where to allow team to buyout longterm contract like Erhoff and Dipietro where the length where completely ridiculous.

That exactly what i said in the previous post. And how the lockout and the current situation have anything to do with another? These two situations are completely different, last time both parties where divergent on many point, this time they are working together and have even talked about extendind the current Cba for another 5 season. The cap is likely to stay at 81,5 millions and there have been no Talk of a CBO coming from the Nhl. This dumb rumors where started by Brian Burke who just made a comment and people started to lose it on here.

Actually i had Armia, Mete, Strubble and a first round pick for Sergachev but since Montreal take back Gourde contract i removed the first round pick and gave our earliest second round. Added a third for Paquette.
