If lehner derails this year and shows he can't be a starter in this league, then miller is a option to bridge ullmark/Peterson. I'd still prefer to sign Neuvirth back over Miller or maybe even trade for Fleury, Crawford, or Ward/Lack which I think will all be available

For Sabres sake, they should hope that Miller is not an option to come back to Buffalo. Lerner/Ullmark or some other goalie would be a better choice as mileyscav suggested.

Would love to see Miller come back to Buf, although im very biased towards past Sabres it may not be the best option overall, but think if Lehner sustains another bad injury this year bringing Miller in could be the best bet

I would love to see Miller back in Buffalo, as a Goalie Couch, or to visit. I personally feel Miller, while once a great goalie, is past his prime and sliding down hill. Miller always seemed like he was great for the community and had a great public image but if we are talking about a team that’s going to challenge for a Cup in the future, I don’t see Miller as our answer in goal.

1 year to retire? Sure. Miller definitely is a shell of his former self. Not sure whether it was defence bad or Miller, but probably combo of both. As noted above, once buff shores up D, Lehner gets 1 shot. If he falters, Sabres need to go after a true bona fide #1G. Several teams have very solid backups that could push for a #1 spot. Seek them out next year in trade (Grubauer,Greiss, etc)
